My Speech

Title: more playtime

Imagine if you could get more playtime at school, and you

can play more rugby, soccer, climbing trees. And that other stuff

you do. Hi i’m Eli and I think we should have more playtime at

lunch and morning tea.

My first reason is that people don’t get to do as much stuff in

the playtime s that we have at school. If they had more time to talk

with their friends students would be less chatty because they chatted in

the playtime

My second reason is that students can’t do what they want to do

(if it takes long) so they come back to class all grumpy because

they couldn't finish what they wanted to do. If we had a longer

playtime students would come to class happily and be ready

to learn.

My third reason is that people like to do stuff together but if they are

in another class you can’t see them as much. A longer playtime

would mean students would have better teamwork and cooperation skills.

And my last reason is would you want to sit on the carpet

doing work all day? Because I wouldn't. The more playtime

we get means the more exercise you get. Exercise will make

students healthier, fitter and ready to learn.

Now that you’ve heard 4 reasons why our playtime should

be longer i’m sure you agree with me that it makes sense.   

Now it’s your turn to go talk to your teacher, your parents

and Mrs Fetcher that we should have more playtime.
